Alberto Manguel
director
Argentine-Canadian writer and essayist, born in Buenos Aires in 1948. An eclectic thinker, he has investigated themes related to the history of reading with acuity and depth of analysis, publishing literary and metanarrative biographies and polycentric essays. In 2017 he was awarded the Formentor and Alfonso Reyes Prizes, and the Gutenberg Prize in 2018. He is Commander of the French Order of Arts & Letters, Officer of the Order of Canada, and member of the Lincei Academy. From 2016 to 2018 he was director of the National Library of Argentina. (see more: PDF)
